Research Administrator Assistant Position

at the Sustainable Energy Research Group, Frederick University

 

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Research Administrator Assistant to oversee the day-to-day implementation of our diverse research projects. This role is pivotal in enabling the smooth operation and administration of our research projects dedicated to sustainable energy solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Efficiently manage and update all relevant documentation and records associated with research projects, including proposals, partnerships, contracts, and agreements.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Regularly monitor and analyze data from various research activities, creating detailed reports to support decision-making and project progress.
  • Project Management Support: Assist in the coordination of project activities, ensuring that all team members are aware of their deadlines and deliverables, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Training and Outreach Coordination: Organize and maintain records of training sessions for team members, support the maintenance of digital platforms for public engagement, and help organize outreach events.
  • Financial Administration: Facilitate financial processes related to research activities, including the preparation of invoices and management of payments, while ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Candidates must possess a degree in administration, business, or a related field, emphasizing administrative skills relevant to a research environment.
  • Language Proficiency: Exceptional command of the English language is mandatory. Native speaker level is highly preferred to ensure effective communication, documentation, and reporting.
  • Experience: Prior exposure to or experience in research project management will significantly enhance the application. This includes familiarity with project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting in a research context.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills to maintain research, financial, and training records.
  • Proficiency in digital tools for documentation, database management, and communication.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.

 

Salary:

Offering a salary range of €1,200 to €1,600 per month, gross, depending on the candidate’s experience.

 

About the Sustainable Energy Research Group (SERG):

Established in 2012 as a collaboration under Frederick University and the Frederick Research Center, SERG has rapidly grown into a hub of innovation and research excellence in the fields of sustainable energy, buildings, environment, and digitization. Boasting a record of over €5 million in funding, currently managing 14 Horizon and state-funded projects, and engaging 12 full-time researchers, SERG not only contributes significantly to scientific advancement but also offers pathways for academic growth, including PhD opportunities within the Engineering School.
