In cooperation with UNICEF, the Akelius
Languages Online gGmbH develops a language
learning application.
Currently, the language course is available in
ten languages.
Swedish, English, Greek, French, Italian,
Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian and Polish.

You will be based in our Nicosia office.

key responsibilities

developing frontend tasks for web and mobile applications in a professional agile team

• responsible takeover, implementation and testing of planned and estimated user stories from the backlog
• proactive member within our team meetings, with active voice and opinion
• attention to detail, problem-solving skills
• eager learn and coach

Depending on workload and project priorities, additional tasks could also be part of this role.

requirements for this position

• knowledge of Javascript/Typescript is required
• experience as a Frontend Developer
• expertise in Angular framework

 

• proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS and related frontend technologies
• experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
• understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile-first approach

 

• familiarity with writing unit tests (Jest) and end-to-end tests (Cypress) or similar tools to validate application functionality, user workflows, and UI/UX interactions
• team player mentality, committed with the whole software development life cycle in the agile team
• fluent English

 

• speaking any other language that is available as course is a plus
