The Position: 

Expense Management Senior Officer

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of property-related expenses and will directly report to the Expense Management Manager of the Asset and Portfolio Management Function.  Some of the main responsibilities are:

  • Assist in the annual Real Estate Owned (REO) budget preparation
  • Manage and control the outgoing funds within the organization on behalf of clients, and ensure that all expenses are necessary, valid, and within the client’s budgetary guidelines
  • Perform expense management reviews and process expense reports, verify costs against receipts, and ensure company expense policy adherence. Assist in the development and maintenance and monitoring of a list of authorized subcontractors and perform check to ensure adherence with the clients’ specifications
  • Carry out the required actions to collect and process all property related invoices, maintain and handle records of all asset-level expenditure and collaborate with the clients’ accounting departments to direct them on the allocation of the expenditure to each property and the transaction recording.
  • Collaboration with all Altamira Real Estate internal stakeholders  for the receival and processing  of invoices within the Servicer’s scope.
  • Collaboration with the clients for obtaining of the relevant approvals for expenses falling under the clients’ approval limits and with Altamira Real Estate for obtaining internal approvals as per respective policy requirements
  • Communicate with subcontractors, governmental authorities, tenants and any other third party as required, in relation to amounts payable in accordance with local law, relevant agreements, and/or relevant policies
  • Responsible for the management of property insurances and other property related contracts such as condominiums, lifts etc.
  • Responsible for performing bank reconciliation of the clients’ bank facility accounts. Coordinate monthly and quarterly reconciliations and provide input for client reporting as required Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the Manager of the department.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting / Finance / Business Administration, or in a related field
  • Three years of proven work experience in an accounting department or a related field will be considered an advantage.
  • A recognized professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA) will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High levels of integrity and work ethic
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English language both verbal and written

 

Location:

Altamira’s Offices in Latsia, Nicosia.
