Applications Specialist

Join our Digital team as an Applications Specialist! We’re seeking a proactive candidate with hands-on experience in enterprise application management. Responsibilities include selection, troubleshooting, configuration, and implementation of application systems. The ideal candidate should show commitment to continuous learning and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
• Conduct requirements analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems

• Maintain process flow, configuration, operation, and user documentation
• Maintain a stable and accurate Applications production and test instance that meets user/client needs in line with compliance and audit policies
• Provide functional support for both business process issues/business applications and resolve technical issues
• Provide operational support and collaborate with external vendors to resolve problems on business applications
• Support users on change control and system updates
• Work closely with programmers, developers, testers, and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
• Develop and execute system testing and test plans as required
• Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed
• Identify, and document application integration requirements and design, implement, and maintain them as appropriate with vendor(s) support
• Monitor vendor updates regularly and stay informed with new features/approaches/trends of the relevant enterprise applications and the industry by attending relevant training/conferences and meetings with vendors.

• Collaborate with other IT functions for the implementation of the required IT infrastructure
• Manage assigned projects and program components in a team working environment (internal and external) to deliver services following established objectives

To qualify for the role, you should (have):

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 3 years of functional and technical experience in business applications lifecycle (development –implementation-support) in Telecoms, Corporate, Document Management, process automation, etc. including requirements gathering, design, configuration, unit testing, and integration testing
• Experience dealing with a complex IT ecosystem
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills to enable multitasking and timely follow-up
• Ability to use own initiative, prioritize, and work independently
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Project Management experience will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge and experience in agile methodology will be a plus
