Accounting Manager – Nicosia

Company 

Our client, one of the most recognised Groups in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounting Manager,  in Nicosia,  on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have 5 direct subordinates and will report to the Financial Controller with the following main responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Ensure timely submission of tax returns, VAT filings, and other statutory obligations.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and fixed assets.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial processes and business objectives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts, and provide recommendations to management.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or in any other related field and/or holder or partly holder of professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA)
• At least four (4) years of experience as well as proven experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory requirements and financial reporting frameworks
• Strong team orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
• Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure with computerized accounting software

Location: The position is for the headquarters of the group in Nicosia

Remuneration:  An remuneration package of around €40K annually according to qualifications and experience will be offered to the successful candidate including Medical Insurance Scheme and Provident Fund.
