About Us

We are a pharmaceutical company based in Cyprus. We are focused on the importation and marketing of medicines meeting important medical needs in many therapeutic areas, including cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, respiratory, neurology and dermatology.

We maintain long term strategic ties with international research-based pharmaceutical companies such as Merck, Lundbeck, Recordati, Grünenthal,  WinMedica and Galderma, which devote significant resources to the discovery and development of medicines for some of the most serious diseases afflicting humanity.

Alector Pharmaceuticals

Alector Pharmaceuticals Ltd is the AstraZeneca distributor in Cyprus. Alector is a joint venture between C.G. Papaloisou Ltd and Ioannis M. Kapakiotis Ltd. It was established in 2001 after the merger of the multinational pharmaceutical companies Astra of Sweden and Zeneca of the UK, represented in Cyprus by Papaloisou and Kapakiotis respectively. Alector became operational in January 2002.

Louanfarm

Louanfarm was established in 1989 and focuses on the importation and marketing of food supplements and other pharmacy products. The company joined our group in 2023. Louanfarm has a long and successful cooperation with HealthAid of the UK, a premium brand in the supplement market, with a comprehensive portfolio of health-related products.

Marathon Distributors Limited

Our products are distributed to all pharmacies and hospitals in Cyprus by our affiliate company Marathon Distributors Limited, the largest pharmaceutical wholesaler on the island.
