Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Therapist, Spa ensures that all guests receive treatments and services in line with Company’s standards of excellence. Treatments may include facials, massage, body scrubs waxing, manicure, pedicure and / or hair services.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides a level of service that exceeds all guest expectations by carrying out treatments in a consistent manner and in the time allocated
  • Performs all treatments as specified in treatment training and treatment procedures. Responds to all guest requests in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Builds and maintains a client base and maintains updated client records at all times
  • Provides confident support to the retail area by providing clients with useful home care products and advice
  • Maintains all public, common and heart of house in the Spa areas ensuring they are clean and free of risks including using appropriate cautionary signage to alert guests and fellow staff of potential risks as required (including Spa common areas, Treatment Rooms, Salon, Pool and Gym areas)
  • Provides turn-around service for treatment rooms in accordance with established procedures and practices
  • Collects and keeps record of Spa & Recreation laundry and ensure that it is delivered to the Laundry team
  • Monitors the status of all equipment and notifies the Manager, Spa and Supervisor, Spa if there is any maintenance or repair needs required
  • Ensures effective and cooperative liaison between Therapists and Receptionists. Acts as a support to colleagues by performing other tasks as necessary, such as reception duties, stock count, unpacking of stock, etc
  • Participates in training to be aware of new trends and treatments
  • Cleans massage room after massage treatment and prepares for next client
  • Informs supervisors for massage supplies needed in order to be an effective therapist
  • Ensures that confidentiality and/or discretion is always maintained regarding guest’s information and activities
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Reports accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and / or security issues to the superiors
  • Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience in delivering a wide range of beauty treatments
  • Sound product sales experience with the ability to talk with client and advise on which products would be suitable to meet their current needs, and reach retail sales targets set

Education

  • International beauty therapy qualifications or local equivalent

Skills / Competencies

  • Good knowledge and skill set of various massage techniques
  • Sound product knowledge with the ability to recommend and confidently talk about all the product range
  • Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
  • Has strong sense of teamwork and is committed to the team
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent command of English and Greek
