POSITION SUMMARY:

The Officer, HR Operations embodies payroll, compliance, audit and reporting on matters of policy and in all relations with employees, their organizations, and representatives. Assists Manager, HR Operations for company’s HR policies & practices invariably within the framework of HR best practice and business demands and in full compliance with company’s practices, policies and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consistently delivers first-rate professional HR services to company employees and external stakeholders
  • Complies with labor law, regulatory bodies, GDPR, other company requirements and HR best practice
  • Performs a review and documents internal controls within the HR department
  • Assists in the preparation of reports required by management
  • Maintains system’s record and procedures to acquire, track, edit, store, and manage the necessary documentation associated with the HR business process and the employment cycle
  • Acts as the resource person to deal with internal and external auditors
  • Files employment-related reportorial requirements with various government agencies
  • Maintains and follows procedures for employee gaming license requirements with the National Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission
  • Obtains employment-related permits (e.g. gaming employment license, work permits, work visas)
  • Advices Manager, HR Operations on policies and procedures related to administration
  • Prepares timely reports, letters and proposals as and when required
  • Works closely with HR members to ensure a smooth integrated approach to all HR matters
  • Contributes to the planning, development and coordination of human resources strategies and policies in partnership with the other teams
  • Acts as a member in the various committees (e.g., disciplinary committee)
  • Recommends and/or executes management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign, or discipline employees
  • Performs ad hoc functions as may be required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of work experience in a related capacity for the same or similar industry in a medium to large scale operations
  • Previous experience in Human Resources department will be considered as an advantage

Education:

  • Graduate degree in Business Management, Accounting & Finance, or other related discipline from top Universities
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources will be considered as an advantage

Skills/Competencies:

  • Solid Audit/Compliance background
  • Very good knowledge of local labor law
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Good knowledge of Greek, both written and spoken
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with HRIS systems would be considered an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to deal effectively with staff from senior management level on down
  • Independent with high level of initiative, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
