Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Stage and Events Supervisor, Entertainment collaborates with relevant business units to monitor and lead the co-ordination of all in house and external event productions. They implement and prioritize all departmental tasks and projects while delivering the mission, values, and vision of City of Dreams in accordance with the SOPs of the Company. This position oversees all events as assigned, manages, and continually improves the on-going entertainment of the resort, from DJs and live bands to MC presentations and dance shows.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates and supervises the progress of all projects (tasks, activities, promotions, events, etc.)
  • Events organization ranging from internal business unit events (eg Marketing), touring productions, fashion shows, concerts, sporting events, CSR events, parties, and so on.
  • Performs daily in-depth inspections of venues and establish workflow across various event types
  • Generates pre-show checklists, calendars, call sheets, skins, and other paperwork as needed.
  • Coordinates with other departments and external companies as needed
  • Coordinates crew and performers both pre- and during the event (both in and out of house).
  • Acts as a main point for contact for all in-house artistic staff (MC, DJ, Dancers, House Band)
  • Gets quotes and manages invoicing for internal processing
  • Assists in budget creation and tracking as needed, in collaboration with the Senior Entertainment Manager, Content Manager and Content Coordinator
  • Provides real time support and guidance during operations and instructs staff when needed
  • Assists in maintaining all tools and BOH facilities in collaboration with the technical team
  • Supervise and support the event(s) assigned, float between venues to support the coordinators and technical teams as needed
  • Develop, organize and implement resort entertainment offerings in collaboration with other business units (eg suggesting bands and DJs for restaurants, develop show flows bespoke for each venue)
  • Liaises between the company and the vendors, working closely with Supply Chain to ensure company procedures are adhered to
  • When internal entertainment activations are requested, collaborate in the creative development, design, show flow and curation of the event
  • Works closely with entertainment team members and other related departments for smooth execution
  • Contributes to ideas and initiatives to the greatest extent possible
  • Performs administrative duties as required, by assisting management with the preparation of various forms, budget reviews and other reports
  • Communicates with partners on behalf of the department to achieve profitable deals, cost efficiency and quality of work
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Coordinates meetings as necessary per event in collaborations with various business units internally
  • Generate agendas, take and distribute meeting notes, completes pre and post events reports with the related business units
  • Maintain an ongoing event calendar related to the resort entertainment offerings (the special event calendar is managed by the MICE team in collaboration with the Content Manager and Senior Entertainment Manager)
  • Assists content team to book artists/talent/events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

  • Events, Talent, or entertainment management experience of minimum 2 years (preferably from within events or theatrical productions in a corporate environment)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in event management, event coordination, or related field is beneficial is preferred but not essential
  • Proficient in using backstage events and office technology and online systems
  • Previous experience in a gaming / resort environment beneficial but not essential

Skills / Competencies

  • Exceptional leadership qualities
  • Ability to speak and write English (Greek is a plus)
  • Possess strong computer skills especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Exceptionally strong organisation skills and work ethic
  • Ability to perform under pressure and problem solve quickly, raising concerns in a professional manner
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Of reasonable fitness to enable working outdoors, indoors, climbing ladders (up to 2m), and stand for prolonged periods of time
