POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Public Relations will take a proactive, strategic and leading role in formulating marketing PR projects in collaboration with the local and international PR agencies. The main focus will be to build the image and good reputation of the company among our target audiences and contribute to the development and enhancement of a ‘best in class’ marketing communications and media relations function.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops long and short term PR strategies, communication programs and policies to optimise City of Dreams’ brand image and messages
  • Develops and manages marketing projects with communications partners and internal departments, which majority of projects shall be PR focus, with diversifications of branding, activations, direct marketing, events and or integrated communications
  • Liaison on behalf of Marketing and relevant Departments to collect news and updates worth announcing from all BUs
  • Formulates annual media relations plan and provide counsel and messaging for PR related communications
  • Works in conjunction with corporate team and external communications partners to craft and execute media relations plan i.e. prepare, review and edit materials to support media relations objectives
  • Maintains effective professional relationships with key media to maximise positive publicity for City of Dreams Mediterranean, promoting the property domestically and overseas.  This includes the content management of media releases and feature articles and other activities as required for the print media
  • Effectively manages the communications agency relationship ensuring they are appropriately briefed on all activities and approval processes are adhered to
  • Contributes and assists in projects related to Sponsorships, Awards and other Melco Corporate activities such as Corporate Social Responsibility. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • Over 3-4 years of PR, promotions/events or marketing experience, in hospitality, Tourism and Travel or other relevant industry
  • Has a strong record of “best practices” in marketing and public relations projects
  • Strong local media outreach, network and relations.  Preferably with international experience

Education

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related area e.g. Marketing, Communications, PR or International Studies

Skills / Competencies

  • Excellent Command of English and Greek languages both written and verbal
  • Multi-tasker with ability to juggle many projects
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Team player able to work with all levels within the organisation
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Strong computer literacy, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to partner with multiple cross functional teams
  • Flexibility and resourceful to respond to a fast-paced work environment with shifting deadlines
