Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Investigator oversees the employee vetting and contract due diligence process for Melco Cyprus’s Properties. The Investigator also assists in the operation, and implements investigative cases as directed by the Manager, Investigations in Cyprus. The Investigator reports to the Manager, Investigations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs discreet investigations as directed by the Manager, Investigations
  • Generates and maintains external intelligence sources and report findings to Manager, Investigations
  • Oversees background vetting process for employee candidates
  • Performs contract due diligence as directed by the Manager, Investigations
  • Assists and responds to major Theft or Fraud cases on properties and assists security and surveillance in collating information to present to the legal department and Government agencies
  • Follows any other reasonable duties assigned by the Manager, Investigations
  • Participates in any training programs offered to the Investigations division
  • Keeps up to date with the department and company policies and procedures
  • Effectively manages and maintains own quality of work performance
  • Actively participates in regular performance improvement reviews

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • Assists in tracking and monitoring parties of interest
  • Reports are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensures statutory regulations are complied with

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Tertiary Education
  • Degree related to auditing procedures or fraud detection will be considered as an advantage

Required Experience

  • At least one (1) year experience in a corporate environment
  • Past perform of due diligence will be considered as an advantage
  • Insurance adjustment experience will be considered as an advantage

Required Knowledge

  • Understanding of public source references and the ability to obtain information through several different means
  • Systems knowledge in MS-word and Excel

Skills / Competencies

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand in English and Greek
  • Remains completely discreet regarding operations on and off duty
  • Is willing to work flexible hours as operational needs might require
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies
  • Strong analytical mindset
