Job Description

To cover CFO responsibilities for a period of 9 months whilst the current CFO is on maternity leave. The role will commence in April 2020 2 days per week for 2 months to onboard and complete the handover, increasing to 3 days per week from June 2020 for 7 months during the period of maternity leave and for one month after the CFO’s return. A permanent position is possible thereafter to continue to support the CFO subject to performance.

Supervisory Responsibilities : – Financial Controller (based in Spain)- Finance Team (based in Spain)- Local Accountant/Office Manager (based in Cyprus)Main Duties/ Responsibilities : Ultimate responsibility for managing all the company’s assets and financial resources as well as ensuring our corporate good standing and that all our statutory obligations are adhered to:- Corporate Accounting- Treasury and Asset Management- Regulatory- Tax Reporting and Compliance- Administration & Other Area- Implement organisation’s financial goals- Supervise cash management activities, including FX and financial products- Preparation & monitoring of annual budgets- Monitoring and control of accounts receivables & payables- Preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly and other informational reports/analysis for operational, management, strategic and       board level- Development and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced operating costs and increased  revenues- Influence improvements to profitability by providing meaningful revenue and cost analysis on a regular basis- Ensure accurate and complete underlying accounting records- Responsible for annual audits for the group- Responsible for tax compliance and strategy- Inter company and transfer pricing agreements- Substance Control and Legislations Monitoring in order to mitigate risks- Corporate Structure Control, Board meetings, Minutes and Director Resolution- Dividend, Remuneration and Bonus Management Qualifications and Requirements:  – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field- Professional accounting designation (ACA, CIMA)- Proven work experience in a senior financial managerial position- In-depth knowledge of international accounting, tax compliance and corporate governance- Advanced computer skills including SAP, tax software, Google Suite and MS Office- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation and with staff at remote locations- Strong problem solving and ability to make decisions and exercise sound judgment based on accurate and timely analysis and make and implement crucial recommendations- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation- Excellent oral and written communication skills including board level reporting- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines- Organised and effective time management skills- Attention to detail- Self motivated problem-solver- Analytical skills- Team Player but able to work independently- Fluent English- Spanish desirable but not essential- >15 years work experience- >10 years in a similar role
