Job Description

Job Objective 

The Multimedia Officer will be responsible for supporting various business functions of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) through planning, developing and producing print and digital media artworks, graphics and animations/videos that connect with the respective target audience of the company.The role holder will be required to be conversant with industry trends and familiar with standard graphic design software. 

 Job Description

  • Create overall layout and design for print and digital media in adherence to our Brand Guidelines, ensuring quality and consistency of graphic design across all media
  • Varied role covering a wide array of projects across print and web
  • Assist with keeping the corporate social media channels of BSM updated with engaging content
  • Conceptualise, design and creatively package advertisements, online banners, mini sites, publications, exhibitions/displays, office branding and corporate communications
  • Provide creative concepts and make sound recommendations to improve our corporate identity using graphics and video
  • Work closely with the Marketing Communications team to create and manage designs from concept through to final deliverables along with a wider network of business partners

  Required – Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Degree in Media Arts, Broadcasting, Graphic Design, Communication or any related field
  • Minimum two years’ experience in design production, digital engagement, social media management and communication
  • Strong understanding of current social media and web trends
  • Passionate and creative individual with attention to detail and with a portfolio that showcases this
  • Proficient in graphic design tools, specifically Adobe CS (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), MS Office Suite and other design and video software
  • Basic knowledge of CSS, HTML, hands-on experience of content management systems
  • Excellent knowledge in multimedia designs for both print and digital
  • Ability to stay up to date with emerging design trends and technologies
  • Respect for planning and tight deadlines, able to cope with pressure and a fast pace demanding environment
  • Track and report on all digital metrics, including website, social media and intranet
  • Excellent command of the English language
